Sea Salt Spray for Beachy Waves
Alright, so the tumblr picture was sort of lame, but ever wanted effortless beach waves for the summer like the ones you get from the actual beach waves? I sure do. The hair style is simple and the results are honestly amazing. And guess what? They’re heatless!
So what does the beach water have that makes hair look so darn good? Salt water!
What you’ll need:
1-3 tbsp of Salt (duh.) preferable sea salt, but table salt will do
2 ½ cups of of Water
1 tsp Coconut oil or Conditioner
A pot and stove top
A spray bottle
Step one: Bring water to a boil
Step two: Add 1-3 tables spoons of salt (depending how strong to you want it to be)
Step three: Salt water when it dries looks great but is very drying for your hair, add coconut oil or conditioner to help avoid the dryness
Step four: Let it all boil until the salt completely dissolved
Step five: Use it on dry or damp hair and scrunch it upwards with your hands to enhance texture
Step six: Whip your hair back and forth. For a tutorial on that check out Willow Smith’s “Whip my Hair” video on youtube.com
Optional: If you wish to have more defined waves, after straying your hair, braid it or braid random parts of it and let it dry completely.
Enjoy!
Stay beautiful,
