Alessia Cara is an R&B and also an alternative R&B singer. She also does other types of music such as pop, soul and indie pop. At the age of 10 she started playing guitar and also taught herself how to play different types of songs. When she was 13 she started creating her own youtube channel for posting cover songs that she has already performed. Alessia’s official debut single, titled “Here” was released through Def Jam in 2015. Her single, “Here” was produced by Sebastian Kole. “Here” was a song that related to Alessia’s personal experience about going to a party before she realized that she did not like parties. She performed her single, “Here” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on July, 29, 2015. Performing on “The Tonight Show” was her first televised debut.
