Why is entrepreneurship important for students to learn?
Because 98% of people either work for a business or start a business, so by taking it you will learn what some other famous entrepreneurs did, learn their tips. Ex. Facebook’s owner Mark Zuckerberg etc.
How Would you say you balance work and your personal life?
I don't have my own business but I have a passion for it so any news that I come across regarding business I bring in to my class so the students can learn, In terms of my personal life I keep it separate from work.

What made you become a business teacher?
I Started marketing at Ryerson University and have always liked business. I just didn't know which field to get into. After working in Marketing for five years at Hallmark Cards Canada, I transitioned to teaching. I do enjoy business and I do have a passion for it which led me to want to teach it.
What made you think to become a basketball coach?
Mr. Otten asked me first when I started here. I had experience in the past with coaching, so I believed I could try to help our team win the championship.
Whats the most enjoyable thing about teaching?
Probably seeing when my students have success in their courses, and their life. It’s great when they come back to thank me for teaching them how to present, and how to be comfortable with technology, as well as being comfort- able with the crowd.
Do you think you are a vital part in helping students succeed?
I believe a lot of students don’t know what business is really about. I teach them theory but public speaking is a major component of it, which helps train them in all my business courses. Speaking is the most important part in the real world, to learn at this age.
Do you prefer coaching or teaching business?
They are two separate things but I enjoy business more so because every time I come to school it doesn’t feel like I’m working, because I have a passion for it.This is why I stress to students to find a job that you have a passion for. So I most likely would choose business teaching for sure, but I enjoy coaching as well.
