Anna Cledening is a singer and guitarist from season 9 of “America’s Got Talent.” She was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She is not employed, because she suffers from anxiety and depression disorder. Anna was only 14 years old when she was diagnosed with this disorder. In 2-3 months before her audition Anna did not want to leave her house. She then became better when she had therapy, but then she went through a relapse 4 months ago. Before Anna performed she struggled to have the confidence to go on stage. The Host, Nick Cannon walked with her onto the stage to give her support. For her audition she decided to sing “hallelujah” while she played the guitar. The judges all voted “yes”, which sent her to Judgment Week. Anna suffered an anxiety attack before her performance, but then she convinced herself to perform when her competitors encouraged her. For her Judgment Week’s performance Anna chose to sing her fast rendition of “Radioactive” from “Imagine Dragons.” After her performance the judges moved her to the “Quarterfinals.” For the “Quarterfinals”, she chose to sing “Human” by Christina Perri. Anna was eliminated in the “Quarterfinals”, because she did not receive enough votes to go to the “Semifinals.”
